This is my experimental Home Page, the primary portal into my Web presence. I post on the Web to share information, opinion, and insight. I publish a lot here, but I also use other Web facilities. Most of my focus is on developing an understanding of human behavior, particularly in economics and political science. One part of this is reading a lot. When I read something that I think might contribute to understanding, I place it in my Shared Google Reader page - think of it as my intellectual in-box. Sometimes I add a small note to the entries, but usually not. When I think I have something original to contribute or chronicle, I make an entry in my blog: Thinking Things Through. I also co-author a cooking site called Two Cooks In A Kitchen and a Internet Utilization site called Net Gains. All recent writing is captured here - please scroll down. When I have something to write that seems to have some lasting value, I post an essay in one of several additional Web sites. I'm still getting this organized, but the best view into these essays is from my writing page. This is my third personal Web site. My first was hand crafted and hosted on Earthlink. It was a lot of work. My second generation was hosted on Google Pages, which was a lot easier to manage. Alas, Google is de-committing Pages in favor of Google Sites. I like Google Sites, and use it a lot, but I thought I'd give Synthasite a try. So far, I think it's wonderful. I'm in the process of moving everything here from Google Pages, but if you can't find something yet, check my Google Pages Home. |
